Surface Preparation offers a wide variety of wheel blast equipment in several configurations. Mesh belt machines have become one of the more popular systems. A key advantage with a mesh belt machine is that the parts are exposed to the blast wheels from above and below. Nearly complete coverage is achieved without the necessity of re-orienting the parts given they are transported on a wire mesh belt.
There are two types of mesh belt systems:
In-line unit – In this configuration parts are placed on an endless wire mesh belt and conveyed through a tunnel with multiple blast wheels. Parts can either be manually or automatically loaded and unloaded depending on your process requirements. Typically this unit has a 2’ x 2’ opening however larger units are available if required.
Rotary table - A mesh belt configured in a rotary configuration passes through the cabinet between multiple blast wheels. Typically one operator is all that is required for the loading and unloading of the parts at the front of the unit. These units range in size from a 48" table up to an 84" table. Larger sizes are available as a special upon request.
Both styles are good candidates for parts where part on part impingement is unacceptable.
